Altitude Festival 2010 will feature live stand-up comedy, live music, international DJ's, slopestyle competitions and more. The backdrop to the festival will be the beautiful snow-capped Alpine mountains of the 3 Valley ski resort of Meribel, Les Trois Vallees, in the French Alps, France. the week long event takes place from Saturday 20th to Friday 26th March 2010.

The festival offers powder skiing and boarding by day in and entertainment by night with comedy and the cream of up-and-coming stand ups, Altitude is the first chance to check out brand new material from some of the best comedians around before they take it on to the Edinburgh Festival.

Snow sports

When not partaking all the family can check out the professionals at snowsports events such as the Jib session which attract the best pro riders from around the world. For those of a less serious disposition join in with the Wacky Races, fancy dress, three legged ski races, snowball fights and expression sessions. Fun for all the family.

With over 50 shows and events after skiing this week long comedy, music, ski and snow party is the perfect way to end a day on the hill and in this case the perfect end to the alpine ski season.

Pendulum join Drum & Bass legends
Pendulum (DJ Set) have now been added to an already amazing line up for The Big Snow Festival in March. Drum & Bass legends Micky Finn, Darren Jay and MC Fearless are also the latest acts set to take you from the slopes to the dance floor with the best sounds this side of 2010.

Rocking up the international festival circuit, world renowned dance act Pendulum (DJ set) will be storming the slopes as they join the likes of Calvin Harris and Eddie Halliwell at the biggest party to be hitting the mountains this year.

 

Kicking off The Big Snow Festival on Sunday 14th March, leading Drum and Bass promoter AWOL presents DJ legends Micky Finn, Darren Jay and MC Fearless.  

Located in the heart of Arinsal, The Big Snow Festival sees top acts including Judge Jules, Toddla T, Kissy Sell Out and Kutski hit the decks in some of the best nights not to be missed.

The highly anticipated closing night on Saturday 20th March will see headliner Calvin Harris, Goldie Lookin Chain Sound System, Dirty Sanchez stars Pritchard vs Dainton, Jaguar Skills, ex Prodigy Star Leeroy Thornhill, and more, hitting the Mountain Side Stage for what is set to be the biggest night of the week.

A hug is a form of physical intimacy that usually involves closing or holding the arms around another person or group of persons. Unlike some other forms of physical intimacy, it is practiced publicly and privately without stigma in many countries, religions and cultures, within families, and also across age and gender lines.

 

Sometimes, hugs are a romantic exchange. Hugs may also be exchanged as a sign of support and comfort. A hug can be a demonstration of affection and emotional warmth, sometimes arising out of joy or happiness at meeting someone.

 

Brief in most cases, it is used to show many levels of affection. It is not particular to human beings alone, as there are many species of animals that engage in similar exchanges of warmth.

 

Hugging has been proven to have health benefits. One study has shown that hugs increase levels of oxytocin, and reduce blood pressure.

 

At Sno-Age Ltd we dont believe there should be obstacles to enjoying snowsports, that is why we support DSUK (Disability Snowsports UK) feature both skiing and snowboarding and have members ranging from 18-66, we like to have fun and not spoil anybody else's fun, that is why we created hug a skier day, put it in your diary and let us know what you will be doing on the 22nd January "hug a skier day" we will be on the slopes around Kaprun then partying at the Baumbar at the foot of the Maiskogel, all are welcome.
