Never Summer Premier 2009/2010 Snowboards offer the best in “state of the art” technology, which makes it one of the most interesting boards to ride, compared to any other snowboard on the market of this year. The NS Premier features RDS1 damping system, which improves handling by using an elastomeric rubber foil that is layered through all layers of the board (metal edge, fibreglass and woodcore).

The Premier F1-R also includes the sintered P-tex sidewall, which they claim to be the first to “perfect sintered P-tex sidewall.” This new technology should last longer and withstand colder temperatures than regular ABS sidewalls. Having the opportunity to ride this board it survived anything that was put in its way, from blizzards, icy conditions and even the occasional idiot.

The carbon V twin laminate technology together with the BI lite fibreglass is what really makes this board interesting, the V twin laminate gives it more speed and better carving capabilities, but with the BI lite fibreglass creates the perfect board able to play in the powder and if there is a natural jump in your way, well no problems there. For the technology that was designed into this board offers the right amount of spring or pop, when you need it , without compromising the boards integrity or making the board heavier to make it stronger.

Test day in Zell Am See, Austria conditions were perfect to try this board, with clear skies during the morning including bad weather and icy conditions in some parts of the mountain after 3pm,  which made it awesome to try out. A great board with very few cons, one thing which is great for some and not for all is that you need to trust it a bit especially when carving hard, as she likes to go low and fast, fun as hell. Braking is perfect, surprising it feels like a very stiff board, but when you need to stop this board with its constant sharp edges and dampening system it stops you smoothly and progressively faster than any boards that I have tried before.

Stopping is quitehandy as this board loves speed and at any chance it gets it will take you beyond what seems safe! I thought why not push its boundaries so jumped on the bus to the Glacier in Kaprun  and into one of the three freestyle parks, which was interesting at first! but once it hit the jumps there was no doubt what the BI lite fibreglass does a fantastic job, and is among the features this board includes to make your landings smooth and as balanced as possible, rails on the other hand, maybe just not her thing, as speed made it difficult to keep the board on the ground long enough to actually grind something. It was great fun on Kaprun Glacier.

I would recommend you try it out for yourself and see. This board would be excellent for someone either at intermediate or expert level, as the stiffness of the board and high speeds, may not be good for someone just learning or at beginners level, but from a nut such as myself! "what a board" and I want one for my collection! This board offers everything I want or would ever need in a board, which is the ability to change and respond well to its environment and conditions it is in. With the slopes in Kaprun the Kitzsteinhorn, Maiskogel and Zell Am See. It was perfect and a great chance to test myself and the NS Premier, which I was privileged to have the chance to try out for a couple of days and I thank Sno-Age Ltd and Maxtrack “Never Summer UK” for this opportunity.
